Sport weekend

Good morning it is the Monday after a excellent weekend of sport. Not only did I have the football up at Peterhead on the Saturday but also had the London Marathon, Bahrain Grand Prix and the WBC super middle weight boxing match between Carl Froch and Jermain Taylor, oh and a little bit of the Snooker as well.

It all started on Saturday at around 730 when I had to get up to get ready to go for the Supporters Bus for the 3 hour trip to Peterhead. The trip up there is always good especially the coastal sections of the A90. Some people think spending 6 hours on a bus is a waste of your time just to get to a football match but it isn't especially since you have some of the best veiws of the landsape as you travel. The only thing though with our trip when we hit Aberdeen it started to cloud over and begin to rain after having the sun shineing for most of the trip it stayed overcast and wet until we were on our way home again where after leaving the Granite City it brightend up. I have never seen the sun shine in Aberdeen before everytime I have been near the place it has been cold or wet. Anyway the views wasn't the only thing we went up there for we were in Peterhead to see if we could slavagee our season against the bloo toon as a win would keep our chances of a playoff spot alive but it wasn't to be as we could only manage a 1 v 1 draw. So we have yet another season confined to Division 2.

The Peterhead trip isn't just about football though as it is one of the better trips of the season, it is all about the banter which slowely gets worse as the day moves on and the levles of alcohol increase some to the point of certing people being absolutly pickled. On the road home we usually make a stop somewhere for a refuleing session (you can enterperit refuleing however you like). After a 13 hour day I was back home in the comferts of my chair to watch the telly and then discover on the Stirling Albion supporters forum that we may either be sold or in the process of being sold but as with everything to do with the Albion they're more chances of Pigs Flying than us being sold.

Will finish this later
